Don’t Disrespect Nepal Army: Acharya THT Online Kathmandu, June 26 Former Minister Nilambar Acharya today said Nepal Army should not be insulted by comparing with Maoist militia. Speaking at an interaction titled 'Human rights and humane responsibility' organised by the Universal Peace Federation here today, Acharya said, “National army and private army of a party cannot be similar and they should not be treated equally.” Stating that NA and Maoist army cannot be merged, Acharya said, “NA is a national army that operates as per the law while Maoists' army is political outfit and merger of national army and political army is not possible.” Expressing his dissatisfaction over Maoist supremo Prachanda's remark on army as “murderer and rapist”, Acharya said, “These alleges are wrong.” He expressed the surprise that the seven-party leaders didn't oppose the Prachanda's comment then and there. Bharat Mohan Adhikari of the CPN-UML said there should be detailed a peace agreement between the government and the Maoists. Former Indian ambassador to Nepal KV Rajan said India was always ready to support the peace process that is initiated in Nepal.
