I think the number 10000 or 20000 is just an example prachanda gave. What he wants to say is that we need to reduce the number of army. And I support him for that. I do believe that number of army should be reduced. If you are afraid that maoist might dominate the new army if the ex-RNA men are reduced, you might want to make the new number 30000 instead of 20000. Still we do need to reduce....thats the demand of the present time. About the merger of the PLA men, it is because the PLA men have to be solved. The immediate thing would be to merge it with the RNA. Well, if we doubt that merger would make PLA strong we should think of another option. Like make the PLA half and merge.. and put the half into new jobs... We do have to think of a solution of the PLA men.. They have fought for Nepalese people...
