I'm not comparing a taxi driver's salary with a doctor's. But a labourer's salary with an average nepali's income in ktm or city residents of nepal. Do you know why minimum wage was created in US? I suppose I don't have to explain this. You might say it's government's job and not ours. Well! our governtment HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL NOW ....... That's why I feel the ongoing revolution is good. BTW.. About the servants in nepal and washing machine here... The person who washes the clothes whole day there gets paid way less than what you would put in Laundromat here....and in ktm the amout that the dhobi gets working the whole day is not even enough for us to go to a restaurant in KTM....it makes me sad... I have already started giving money back. And I feel very good about it. :) I have seen my father giving a lot more money to labourers in Nepal. Perharps that's why feel for them...And of course when I came to US. I am not asking you to donate money but start by paying the labourers more...
