All, If roughing up/beating the sherpa dude is senseless, 3000 people roughing up 3 people is horrendous. Let me explain this: In Nepal, for a lot many years now, if there is an accident, it is ALWAYS by default the fault of the bigger vehicle. Makes sense? not, not to me either...The general conception is, since you won/drive a car, you better claim responsibility. Have you ever noticed the way these motor cycle walas drive around in Nepal? they are teh most reckless of the lot. I don't think educated ppl like Singh and Sons together would have thrashed one guy. I can vouch for their common sense on this one. I don't believe the Sherpa dude was beaten up only because his bike hit the car, i'm sure he provoked them with foul language and such- he cannot be entirely innocent and victimise himself- i've dealt with the likes of him myself before. The main issue here is teh college going kids in Nepal- they are too involved in things outside of books- who gives the mob right to lynch people, even if they did beat up that dude to throw themselves, all 3000 of them at three guys? could they not have informed police? what was the need to get physical? have you ever heard of such happening here or in any other civilized society? if any of you were among that crowd, would you have also joined the force to beat up those three men? and why are you constantly terming these people king's men? i think most of the anger is vented out because of the fact that he is associated with the king- is that a fair deal? is that an educated statement? set aside the king connection, stop assuming, and don't behave like the mob back in Lainchaur- teh problem is teh younger generation of Nepal who instead of changing the face of society for the better, out to butcher what used to be a very civil society. Let us talk about making Nepal a better place to live and move around in instead of hailing what teh mob did the other day- surely there was a better way of handling the incident the other day.
