I dont have much sympathy for Mr Bharat Kesari Singh but lynching is wrong no matter who the victim is. In my opinion, this is a shameful act and such acts should not be acceptable or condoned in a democracy. Having said that, I fail to understand why Mr Singh and his sons, as per media reports, chose to scold, and thus pick up a fight, with the motor cyclist they hit. Mr Singh is not particularly known for being a bright man, but this was sheer stupidity by any measure given the high profile of Singh and the current atmosphere in the country. Accidents happen, especially in a country like Nepal where most drivers dont follow traffic rules and have little civic sense, and sadly, the driver in the car always gets blamed, but scolding a victim is not the smartest thing to do in such a case. I wish him a speedy recovery and hope we don't see vigilante justice like this any more.
