Hello Mike, It is really not so hard to get jobs in IT. Although you can't get permanent jobs due to visa status (If you have green card it is too easy) you can get contract job of 3 or 6 months or 9 months even 1 year. If you have MS or BS in computer science or closely related area there are plenty of Indian recruiting companies who can train you and place somewhere. But my preferred method is to post the resume on dice or Monster and get interviews. If you can get more and more interviews the questions will be same again and again. So after 5 or 6 interviews you know what kind of questions the company will ask. Another main thing is you need to prepare your resume very well so there is a high chance of getting an interview.
