If Prachanda is to be called a good leader, then any of those thugs in my neighborhood who used to terrorize innocent bystanders would be called the same. One could argue again and again about how much Maoists have achieved in the last ten years and to do so would require a visionary and motivational leader. But let us not forget that all the achievements by Maoists did come in a package from India. If India had acted democratically and had secured the borders, the Maoists leaders, Prachanda included would have been nabbed long time ago. Even today if India chooses, it can weaken the Maoists in a matter of few days. Simply cutting down the supply line of their arms and ammunition would just be one of the easiest ways. And exploiting, giving false promise and dreams to the poor, threatening and killing those who stand against them, if could be termed as a motivation, then those same thugs in my neighborhood who garnered support by beating up the enemies of some of the kids to get them on their side could also be termed as motivational leaders. Violence is not right, no matter at which age and where. Violence and hatred only begets more of themselves. Maoists leaders of Nepal are nothing by thugs who are blood thirsty and power hungry. We need to get rid of them before they spill them venom on Nepalese.
