Here is the same news at a different source. ------------------------------------------------------ CPM "managing" foreign policy: BJP New Delhi: The BJP today charged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with allowing Left interference in foreign policy matters and said the UPA Government had failed in dealing with external affairs issues. "We have no independent Foreign Minister in this Government. The CPM is managing the foreign policy of this Government by proxy. After interfering in Nepal, the Leftists have directed their attention to targeting Sri Lanka. "Perhaps, the Prime Minister is gambling with a new and strange experiment of allowing a political party from outside the Government to run the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," BJP chief Rajnath Singh said in his address at the BJP National Executive meeting here. Rajnath Singh cited CPM's role in Nepal during the recent political crisis there and accused the Prime Minister of allowing Left interference after External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh quit over the Volcker report on Iraq's oil-for-food programme. The BJP leader blamed the UPA Government for alleged emergence of all neighbouring countries as the centres of anti-India conspiracies over the past two years. "All our neighbouring countries today are emerging into the centres of anti-India conspiracies. Since long, such anti-India activities were going on from Pakistan's territory," he claimed. In an apparent reference to the recent killing of an Indian engineer by the Taliban in Afghanistan, Singh expressed concern over activities of the militia in the war-ravaged country and also that of the LTTE in Sri Lanka. "All this is a story of failure of UPA Government's foreign policy," he remarked, attacking the Congress-led Government for its handling of terrorism. http://www.newkerala.com/news3.php?action=fullnews&id=2081
