See u can say ,buddha was born in asia, buddha was born in indian subcontinent as well as buddha was born in lumbini which is in present nepal. bharat existed during time of ashoka but he didn't rule lumbini area! See my fren this is language and people mould it whichever they like.when they say buddha was born in india.that means he was born in indian subcontinent and westerers believe it.long time ago i had good argument about that with my history teacher in US.
