Folks, That threat was for these people, read the article below, Specially the second paragraph Nepal Army concerned Kantipur Report KATHMANDU, May 19 - A hot discussion took place at Nepal Army Headquarters Thursday after army top brass realized that the house declaration would not secure King's role as supreme-commander-in-chief of the army and his power of selecting heir to the throne would also not be left intact. An army general said Army Chief Pyar Jung Thapa met Prime Minister Koirala before the declaration was tabled in the parliament. Army top brass had been assured that the two provisions would not be changed by the House declaration. After realizing that those provisions too would be scrapped, a serious discussion occurred between pro-palace army officials and the moderates. However, the army generals ruled out any probability of a military revolt over the issue.
