I don't see anything wrong with having a lavish wedding ceremony....It may be extravagant from an average Nepali standard, but it's nothing unusual either......Pyar Jung Thapa's daughter's wedding is blown out of proportion just because he happens to be the Army Chief of Nepal who we love to hate... And when we hate someone, we don't like to give other possibilities a thought and love to come to the easy conclusion that makes us happy... If it was some other rich person getting his daughter married that way, I bet we wouldn't have made "millions of Nepalese are dyiing of hunger" a big deal... Pyar Jung Thapa may have been corrupt and what not, but we cannot ruin his or his daughter's happiness just on the basis of some of our *feel good* assumptions.... Until his fallacies are proved, let's not forget to give the probablity a consideration that he may have inherited incredible amount of properties from his forefathers like many other Nepalese do.... OOPS!! Almost forgot to congratulate the newly wed couple....I wish them a happy married life..... God bless!!!
