I have heard of one minister's son in Aus/US and own a petrol pump bought from his dad's ill rotten money. (the minister has been investigated but not convicted yet, so will wait till he gets covicted to publicize the name) Also there are lots of "fuche parash" haru son of "rotten corruption king" haru, who live in aboard at expense of their parents ill earned wealth and look down at the poor nepalese who are struggling to survive on their own calling them as "pakhe, gaunle and ..." Hundi or Hawala was one biggest channel from transferring corruption money from Nepal to US or aboard. US government came down tight on these channels after 9/11 as they figured out the money used to fund 9/11 emerged from these channels. That was also the reason why international community started presuring Nepalese and other south asian countries to take strict action against corruption. Bowing down to this pressure, parliament passed the strict law during Deuba Government before OCT 2002. CIAA used the law to clamp down corruption. Everyone welcomed their move at that time. As a responsible citizen we should take step to protect CIAA and Corruption law from being victim of political revenge and opening the path to corruption again.
