I think it is. It shows commitment on behalf of yourself toward the partner you may never have met (as in the case of arranged marriage), or even towards the partner you may know for a while and want to marry later on. It also shows commitment towards other things more important in life than sex- such as work, ethics etc.- all of which are a part of a broader spectrum of life improvement- for oneself and the partner. However, if sex is not a issue between partners that are almost certain to get married then it's up to them. For me virginity is a responsibility- towards the image for my family. However, if you dont think ex is an issue and are just casually "dating [I hate that word since when did Nepalese learn to date? Do they(we) even know, or NEED FOR THAT MATTER, the purpose ofdating?]", then you might want to be careful later on because your spuse may never look at you the same way ever again!
