The BBC says the other egg has disappeared with the speculation that it probably contained a dead chick. As for the remaining egg, the land owner thinks now there is only a small chance of the egg being hatched as the incubation period is already over. - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/4971322.stm Mr Carrick said he feared the remaining egg was unlikely to contain a live chick, as the deadline for it to hatch had passed.
