I also deplore any conversion based on economic promises. I will say anyone who does that is not a true missionary. A missionary has to spread the gospel by spreading love .. not money. That's cheating. But having said that there is another side to this story. If I were poor and starving and there was someone who offering me money and material success I would convert without giving a second thought. Whether I would really understand what it all meant would be a completely different story.
