There was a guy who just finished his PhD in Biomedical engineering from Drexel. He came and gave a hiring talk at my university. And he was talking about his collaborative work with Environmental engineering department. So as we understood, its one of the "good department" at Drexel. But we ended up not hiring him, because he lacked "theoritical grasp" of mechanism design. He was a great hands on guy. Now, does that says anything about what you are looking into.
