New Museum in Kathmandu

Attached is a photo from July 2002 that gives a sense of just how large a fraction of the green space in central Kathmandu is occupied by the compound that Mahendra had sold to the government but continued to occupy. I agree that it would be very suitable for a new national library, museum, and public park. Once this is taken care of... we should think of good uses of the second major green space within the Ring Road occupied by the army in Chhauni. As the city's population continues to grow the role of green spaces will be increasingly important for the public.
