Less Important King

Chakku I've been telling you all along that I don't support the King. In my earlier writing I have been saying that if I am to choose among the Maoist and the King, I would choose the king. It's the lesser of evil. I have noticed one trend of intolerance here in sajha which is unfortunate. and that is - anyone who questions anything to do with the democratic aspirations are labelled as King supporter. I had written one post about Maoist strategy how they would take over easily if the King was ousted. The king is bad and we need to reduce his powers gradually. Power vaccuum is what we don't need. During the times of crisis, we needed to be more level headed than hot headed, and without any doubt you belong to the latter. It's good that the king was not ousted forcefully by the mob, which would have paved the way for the Maoists. Right now it's the perfect situatution whereby the parliament can actually make some changes and transition the powers from the King to the people's assembly. Again we need to stress on the following from the current netas. - Reduce Kings powers - no more his majesty's government but nepal government - no more going to royal palace for major political oath takings - no more grandiose salary for the royal family. They should be given as much as the Prime Minister makes if we have to give any. - no tax breaks for them. If they want to compete in business let them compete as normal citizens - If respectable Prime Minister of Nepal does chamcha giri with the king, that traitor needs to be fired - Change national anthem from the bada maharajadhiraja to more down to earth ideals. - Fire all the top ranking officials in the Army and the Police they are all King's cronies. That's all for now उहि, Red Alert (Not a freedom fighter, just an observer posting his opinions)
