lfc123, Maoists have been demanding this all the while. They have been saying that if UN or some neutral internationla party comes to supervise the election to constitutional assembly, they will lay the arms, but for that RNA should also remain silent during the election. After the election is over, if UN says that the election is free and fair, Maoists will accept the outcome of the election. After that a process to merge Maoists army and RNA will begin. This is what Maoists are demanding. If the roylaists and the tradtional forces in Nepal do not create any obstacles in this process, then this is a good way for the safelanding of Maoists. But the BIG question is , will the king agree to it? Royalists have always opposed such election. They are also against the UN supervision.
