No religion is bad. Gyane may be a follower of Hinduism, but so am i and more than 80% of thre Nepalese. Every religion has their own shortcomings. No religion is perfect. The best thing about Hinduism is that you can criticise to any extent about the nuances in it, and you are left6 unharmed. Try doing the same about islam in Pakistan or Saudi arabia or even in muslim areas of Baanke/ Sunsari, and you will know the difference between hinduism and other religions. In Hinduism, I don't need to go to the temple to prove that I am a Hindu. There is no such obligation like praying 5 times a day, going to Church every Sunday or a mosque every Friday. In Hinduism you are not a born sinner, who always repents and keeps on asking the lord for mercy and forgiving for all sins. Hinduism doesn't believe in spreading the doctrine and converting others. Hinduism is not formed by one person and it is very broad with different schools which can coexist within the same doctrine. One can follow multiple gods theory as is popular, or One can follow the Upanishads which says that there is only one god, or u can follow the Lokayata/ Charvak darshan which says eat, drink n be merry as there is no god n no afterlife, or u can follow Gita which stresses your work is your god or you can follow Yoga as your main religion. So the rubric of Hinduism is broad and one can follow any school he likes. U r free to choose, and can still be a hindu. Nepal is a hindu country, but has any other religion been discriminated here? For religious discrimination, go to Pakistan or gulf. Does secularism improve anything? If yes, then why there are more religious fanatics in secular India than in nepal ? And how many countries in the world are secular? Are Italy, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, or France secular? And what about Vatican City? Maoism and Secular state? A big joke. Mao-Marxist philosophy, which proclaims "Religion is an opium", can they ever, even think of any religion? Let alone being secular? Well people may prefer burial, but cremation in electric crematorium ain't that bad than unnecessarily occupying lot of space and land for the deceased. There are many landless people who will greatly benefit, rather that using land for the deceased who don't need it anyway. And about cremation being gruesome, what about the funeral rites of the Persians? bodies left in towers of silence where vultures can consume it? Every religion has their own rites and rituals. So no religion is bad, you have to take the good points and leave the bad ones behind, that is being constructive. Rather that lambasting without knowing what one is talking about.
