nope, advance parole is actually made for people who have their green card in process ( I 140 AND I 485 ) so they can go abroad and come back. the good thing is you dont have to apply for a visa when you're returning, all you have to do is show your advance parole, which basically is a 2 page letter..with your picture posted and A# printed on it.
