Nails sweetie, Controversy should be your middle name. ;) I do not think people hate you. But you have used "hate" frequently while you talked about DV winners. Being jealous is fine, not agreeing on the way they hand over the lottery is fine too, and I would go as far as saying ignoring or ranting to those who treated you unfairly just because they have DV is fine too. However, what is not fine is, you generalize every DV winner by randomly associating percentage, i.e., 99% undeserving people and then claming you hate those people, just because. Say you do not like system; hate the way they hand over DV even though you have seen people who would always remain a mere laborer. That is okay, that is your opinion. Fine! Do I feel each of them deserve the DV? NO. But then again, that is why it is called lottery. But you can not just keep on attacking them like that. You said you know many DV families that made your life hell. Okay. But there are thousands who have done nothing to you. Why do you hate them? I myself feel that there has to be higher and strict criteria for DV application, but America is not owned by my Pop. Catch my drift? Hehe:p Expressing your opinion is fine, but when it hurts many other people that have done nothing to you and their only crime was - well, they won a lottery, is not cool. Also, you have to remember that this majority of undeserved - in your words - DV winners are first generation immigrants. They may not be able to achieve much but think about the opportunity their children will have. The sky is the limit for them. Does not mean we can not achieve what they could.
