Just for the shake of an example of a Mexican... one of the editors of the prestigious “Nature Medicine" is no other than a US based Mexican Scientist....sometimes we all commit mistakes by making hasty generalization… so nothing very much unusual only to HD though (BTW, came to know about him during manuscript submission from our lab) Juan Carlos López, Editor Juan Carlos López was born in Mexico in 1967. He started his scientific career in the mid 80s at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, looking for neurochemical correlates of memory formation. Juan Carlos obtained his Ph.D. from Columbia University under the supervision of Eric Kandel, and carried out postdoctoral work at the Instituto Cajal in Madrid.
