I disagree your logic that "because of globalization and America, ganatantra is not possible". USA has nothing to do with democracy or whatever in Nepal but they do care which individual or party or group best favors their interest. If the maoists praises America, the Americans will establish them in power. Have you ever seen or heard America being bothered by asbolute monarchy in Saudis? in Kuwait? So are Indians. When Sher Bahadur's governmnet was in table with the maoists and the dialogue was in progress, the Indians declared maoists as the terrorists. This is India who provides shelter to the maoists in their land but when the government is in dialogue with the maoists, they declare them as terrorists and arrested a few maoists leaders. It clearly indicates that Indians don't want peace and stability in Nepal. This is true that parties are still not ready for Ganatantra . In principle 7 parties are for constitional monarchy and parliamentray system. But what can we do if the king himself doesn't like to be constitutional king? This is the king who is pushing the parties towards republicanism. Maoists are looking for safe landing. I believe the leadership has understood that communist dictatorship is not any more possible. So, they are looking for transformation. Democratic parties like UML and NC also started with violence. So, the maoists also must get opportunity to transform themselves. Actually, this is the king and the royalists who backed the maoists indirectly when the parties were in the government. Political party activists and police men were being killed by maoists and army were silent spectators. Girija wanted to deploy army against the maoists but the army commander shook hand with the maoist counterpart in Holleri. Now, situation has changed and we have to forget what happened in the past and have to think how can we better handle the situation.
