A few days ago, the poor servant working in the home of an influential figure in Naya Baneshwor was injured in the head at a scuffle. The influential person is question is a leading figure in Nepali Congress. But I was shocked and surprised at the same time to see the boy with bleeding head to be featured in a leading Daily next day and the whole thing was being blamed on the police force and government. Thankfully, I live next house to the servant boy and I found the truth about it.But how many of such baseless news are there? Anyone can guess. I have even sent a letter to the newspaper to stop publishing such baseless news. But the question Are those kind of journalism desirable especially in current situation in Nepal?
