Can you also tell us where Toya is currently located and the like . . . Google search only produces an oldie of Nepal's Napi Bibhag.... hahahaaaaaaaaaa As a student of society and culture, I have my position on it below. ------------------------------------------- t's good you are bringing it to everyone's attention. A fellow Nepali publishes in a reputed journal. That's good. I am glad for him. Having said that, however, I see no reason that to be a topic here as if it were some Nobel Prize, a Putlizer. It isn't about publishing a book or even a front-page/principal journal article. Mr. Toyajee has co-authored a piece that has been published under the section LETTERS, not lead research articles. While it's good to have something out than nil, I know more than three dozen advanced graduate students or recent Ph.D.s (and all Nepalis) who have done so or even more in their respective fields. You should know that every discipline has a few top-ranked journals and if you want to research or teach in a top-tier schools or research institutions, you need to have your stuff out there. So, andjee, without meaning to offend you or Toya, keep it up and keep it to yourself. I know you can call me a jealot, but you are wrong because I am not against you. I simply fail to see how it would be such a big news. If Toya's research has broken fresh grounds in a discipline, well, let's celebrate it. But just for having a piece co-authored out there, keep it to yourself. Give me a break.
