Well I thought maybe I'll drop in my story: I guess I have realized the differences between liberal arts and other colleges and have gone through a lot of transition over the past three and a half years. At times I too have seriously questioned myself and my college life. What to seek from it? If I was at home I would probably have taken up Architectural Engineering or Civil. But in the states things have changed a bit. I did start out by taking sciences and maths but then slowly transitioned into arts. Now I am graduating this May, with a BA in Visual Arts. My thesis is based on Cezanne's work and majority of my plan is painting. I am also doing some architectural designing and a paper on Art History. I don't specifically know what lies ahead after I graduate, but have plans of doing architectural interships and eventually going to Arch. Grad. school. What is necessary, I think, is to find that balance between interest and functionality. A degree field without interest is no fun even with loads of money pouring out from it, so you do have to do what makes you happy, but know your boundary. Best of luck to all.
