Hey Lowell, Which Uni gives $40,000 for TA or RA per 9 month or per year? I should better move there. :) As far as I know the range varies from $16,000 to $25,000 for TA or RA in most of the US and Canadian universities. But the amount may increase if you manage to get some other scholarship/fellowship along with TA/RA. In case of fellowship and scholarship, it depends on the type of scholarship/fellowship as Lowell said.
