I will list the specializations, their ease of learning, expected pay for entry, expected pay after a year or Two, and maximimum one can earn after you are guru. Rates are per hour basis if you go thru dhotis 1) Webdesigner, 3, 20, 40, dont know 2) Quality Assurance, 3, 30, 45, 50 3) Programmer(Java, .net, etc), 6, 30, 50, 90 4) DBA , 9, 30, 50, 100 5) ERP Packages, 8, 40, 60, 100 6) Other programmers, 7, 30, 50, 100 These are just from my experience.
