GBS has been able to produce excellent results both in School Leaving Certificate (SLC) and Higher Secondary Board exams. It has been awarded the Birendra Regional Education Shield for 15 times so far for the best educational accomplishments in the Western Development Region. Moreover, the school was awarded the National Birendra Education Sheild in the year 2004 for the best SLC result in the whole country. Out 113 students who sat SLC exam, 66 students passed with distinction and the remaining 47 passed with a first division with 4 students on the SLC BOARD list. According to the report on the evaluation of the Higher Cacn,n,riary Education in Nepal made by Hi_mal, a national journal of Nepal, GDS was ranked number one school in the country on the basis of 10+2 results over several years. Similarly, another national jo! rrna! of Nepal named Nepal has ranked GBS the second best school in the country in its report given in 2005.
