Appointment dates are available within 5-7 days these days. There is this one question in the form that would force you to "reveal" your intent to permanently immigrate to US. I am not sure how the consular will take the answer for people in H1. Since H1 is a dual-intent visa, I personally think it should be OK, however, wanted to know opinion of others who have been through the same process.
