Hi, I went to Canada last year and I got visa without any problem. But its good to be prepared with any sort of documents and questions that might be asked. - Schedule an interview at any US consulate in Canada using website http://www.nvars.com - Make sure you have passport with you when you go online to make the appointment, as you will have to enter your passport number. - You also need to get Canadian visa to enter Canada. You can apply for Canadian visa once you have received posted the US consulate appointment letter. You need appointment letter from US Consulate to apply for Canadian visa. Take to the US Consulate/Embassy the following: 1) Valid passport (at least valid for 6 months past the original approval stay in the US) 2) Any previously expired passports showing stays in the US. 3) I-94 card 4) Complted Form DS 156, application for Nonimmigrant visa for USA. 5) Completed Form DS 157, if you are make between age 16-45. 6) Original and one copy of H1-B Notice of Approval, Form I-797 7) All your educational documents (diploma, transcript, etc.) 8) Current letter of employment stating position, salary, job duties that correspond to H1_B support letter. This is the most important document you should have. 9) Copy of H1-B petition (i.e. I-129, I-129W, L.C.A, employer letter, etc.) 10) One passport-type color photo 11) Visa processing fee $100.00 12) Company brochure or annual report, if your company has one 13) Recent pay stubs 14) Consulate appointment letter 15) Copies of US Federal Income tac returns 16) Resume 17) Original form I-20(s), if you were ever in the US under F-1 student status. 18) Original Form I-797 approval notice for each previous change of status/employer. 19) Original marriage certificate for spouse 20) Original birth certificate for each child I hope this information will help.
