"Echoes, its utter nonsense to accuse Bhattarai's writing above for publicity- anyone would grieve if his/her mother died." --DC_Girl Well, I don't think he needs any publicity... What I meant was that he didn't write it just out of sheer grief... this article has a bigger message dr. bhattarai 's trying to get across to the elderly people: don't be scared of us, we love you. For someone as committed to the mission as dr. bhattarai, such events (like a death in the family) are not as shocking as they may be to us... When they joined their movement, they knew up-front that it could mean getting killed or having to see a loved one die. They were willing and prepared to make these sacrifices... If he were truly concerned about his mother's well-being, he wouldn't have left his helpless elderly parents alone in the village... Maybe he was worried, but a bigger cause he stood for always came before it and he, in effect, chose to let her die the death she died. I'm not saying he's not sad about his mother's death... I'm sure he is...but I still believe that Dr. Bhattarai used this article to convey more than just how devastating he feels now that his mother isn't living anymore...
