cool topic. To me, beef is not about religion but more about trust/betrayal as I was brought up with the concept that I should not eat beef. Having said that, its not that the idea was not there. At one point when I was a teenager, I tried in vain to buy some beef in Ktm just for the sake or it. Now, I dont see any point in eating beef just like I dont see any point in eating horse or cat or dog. But i I was stranded in a desert with nothing left to eat but beef, I would definitely eat it.
