Stairway to heaven….. rock and roll’s major epiphany that a “shy and poetic” (Rolling Stones) song can bring a revolution that changed the way we look at rock and roll. With its erratic changes, semi -medieval tone, switch from acoustic to a heavy electric guitar extravaganza, this 8 minute of rock fantasy has created history….. I should point out that the lyric of the song is not the main driving factor to be this popular and loved. If somebody said, “If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now, It's just a spring clean for the May Queen.” I would say, “It is not just a spring clean, I would take out my shotgun……probably there is a skunk or something in my bush, and if it’s a deer, even better……..” The point is, the song is a national anthem for people who live in the kingdom of rock and roll. If you do not know the words to Stairway to Heaven, you better learn it and get that air mike thing going on in the shower or in your room. You have to sing it once to know its charisma.
