I think, with the firepower of Holland, they should be one of the favorites to clinch the trophy.I think they have a great squad with natural talents like Robben, Rafael Van Der Vaart, Wesley Sneijder, Van the man Nistelrooy, and with Captain Philip Cocu leading the team, they are an impressive unit with memories of Rinus Michels squad in the 70's under great Johan Cryuff and Johan Niskeens. 90's had a presence of International stars like Gullit, Van Basten (who in my opinion is one of the most lethal strikers ever to be born), Riijkard, Koeman and Dutch side were clear favorities only to be halted by the eventual champions. There hopes were winning the 98 trophy was dismantled by the eventual champions again loosing in tie breaks which is I think has never been dutch's strong quality. But looks like the Van Basten effect has rejuvenated the Oranje boys once more as the likes of an impressive Czech team were looking for shelters when Oranje played against them in the qualifying at the arena in Amsterdam. They have blasted 10 impressive wins and only two draws to secure there place in Germany. But Van Basten will need an extra special performance coming from his team and somebody needs to stand up and deliver a Johan Cryuff 70s if the Dutch team are going to win the trophy.
