A related comment on Moriarty's speech from the Letter to Editor, Kathmandu Post: Humble suggestion I used to think that there are three 'M's in Nepal's on-going conflict: Maoists, 'multipartiwallahs' and monarchists. But after having read US Ambassador's speech in your newspaper (February 16), now I am forced to add one more 'M' - ie, Moriarty. First, he asked multipartywallahs to side with monarchist to fight against Maoists. Having failed on this count, he is now asking monarchists to join hand with multipartiwallahs to fight against Maoists. In reality, what we have seen is the coming together of multipartiwallahs and Maoists with the signing of a twelve-point understanding to abolish authoritarian monarchy. Your Excellency, I too am frustrated like you with this never-ending conflict. My simple suggestion to you: How about Americans supporting Maoists to tame quarrelsome monarchists and multipartiwallahs? NAMA Kumaripati, Lalitpur
