thanks a lot guys for your suggestions and info. actually, i had already called sony customer service and they said it's gonna be $723 to change the monitor because i have tried everything possible and they suggested me. so guys, don't be attracted with the big names. i thought sony vaio is one of the good brands in laptops, but now it proved me now. and do you know what, this model is phased out. if you go sony online, you won't find any laptop having my model number. and the same thing with the electronic stores. this means that they must have some internal errors witht the configuration. anyways, agains thanks a lot to all of you guys for giving me the time.
