id been noticing that nepal seemed to be giving away very few extra runs in the competition and decided to see what the exact figures were. turns out, our team has the lowest rate of extras per opposition runs (extras given/opponent score) in the entire competition. (NB: here, im including only wides, no-balls and byes, since i dont think legbyes reflect upon a team's discipline). accoring to my figues, the most disciplined teams are as follows nep: 4.79% eng: 5.56% zim: 6.19% namib: 7.26% (however, namib conceded 61 extras total, 20.33 per game, and their low percentage is because they have conceeded the most number of runs so far in the competition). SA: 7.66% of the 16 teams in the competition, 8 teams have managed to restrict extras conceded to less than 10% of the opponent's score. what i find remarkable is that four of these teams are in our group (nep, eng, zim and ireland) the teams who seem to have the most 'giving' spirit are bangladesh and pakistan: in both cases, over 17% of their opponent's score has come through extras. if we were to look at the sheer volume, west indies would be the worst team in this respect: they conceeded 84 runs over three matches: an average of 28 per match and ladies and gentlemen, 28 is the TOTAL numebr of extras conceeded by nepal in the competition. whatever happens, AWESOME DISCIPLINE, BOYS
