tomorrow's matches: eng vs zim ind vs sl both to decide who takes top spot in their groups pak vs nz rsa vs wi these two games mean more, with the winners qualifying for the super league and the losers moving on to the plate championship but since Nepal didnt make the cut, f the super league. below is the plate championship itenerary tuesday, feb 14 pak/nz vs ire (qf1) usa vs namib(qf2) nep vs uga (qf3) wi/rsa vs scot(qf4) wed, 15th: plate semi: qf1 winner vs qf2 winner plate consolation semi: loser qf1 vs loser qf2 thurs, 16th: plate semi: qf3 vs qf4 winners fri, 17th plate consolation semi: loser qf3 vs qf4 sat 18th plate final consolation final graphically, pak/nz 14th----------- ireland | l,w:15th ---------------------- usa | | 14th ---------- | namibia | |_18th_____________________________ | nep | 14th ----------- | uganda | | w16th,L17th -------------- wi/sa | 14th ----------- scotland that means our first game is uganda, on the 14th realistically, we can expect to win that game and move on to the semis, where we will probably meet one of either west indies or south africa. from current form, its likely to be south africa, since WI is in good form and stretched AUS to the limit, while SA just folded to them. so 2 test nations in the plate championship and nepal will have to beat both to lift that trophy. if one were to be cynical, one could say nepal should muff up the game against uganda deliberately, so we can move onto the losers bracket and have a very good chance of taking away the plate consolation trophy but that would suck big time. better play your hearts out and leave your bloody entrails on the field than run away what way yall?
