Wretch: Your posting is indeed impressive...and I know a lot of my friends who share the same sentiments....Maoism is not bad, just like Democracy is not bad for Nepal...its the people who deviate from the norm laid out by Democracy to satisfy their lust, and fulfill their ill demands. How can you convince people when Maoists continue to be underground and hit from the behind. If they are convinced that people actually, truly want and will support what they want, why not be a part of the political main-stream? Don't you think Maoists had ample opportunity to be a part of the government. The fact is, they want a bigger PIE than they can actually ingest. They wanna be like the Congress and UMLs....be rich overnight, and forget what they once stood and fought for....... You can say all you want that they are not like that and what, but once they are in power, they get blinded by the GREED, and what not. On an ending note, I am from a Village very much similar to yours. I had my close relatives beheaded by maoists...The politics of fear got to stop.....be it the Maoists or the King.....Give us something different, and may be we will trust....Violence and fear will not win anyone's heart.....no matter who tries it......I don't support the King, nor do I support the Maoists.......But again, who cares who I support.....I fought for the 2046 Democracy movement, and God behold, do I regret it or what???? Wish I had never done that, may be I would be a free man.....not a prisoner in my own house, my own neighborhood, alas...my own country !!
