Killing of any individual is highly condemnable, be it a candidate or a royal soldier or a maoist rebel. Any election that does not address the issues of maoist and does not involve mass participation, is meaning less. When 7 political parties are boycotting the election and the maoists have publicly announced that they would not spare the candidates, why the king has to make it a personal ego and lead the country towards blood-shed? What 7 parties are supposed to do when the King is set to conduct the election and the maoists are set to thwart it by any means? In the current situation, those who want to participate in the election are only the slaves who want to give Royal governemnt the legitimate seal. Were the election to be fair and free, why some of the candidates were forced by Kamal Thapa led RPP to withdraw so that Kamal Thapa RPP candidates would be elected un-upposed? ------- From Kantipuronline.com Most of the persons elected unopposed are from Home Minister Kamal Thapa-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP). Some of the candidates said they withdrew their nominations following the pressure form the government faction of the RPP.
