Ashu Vs. Nepe

Some verifiably true observations: Nepe has called me many things here. I have called Nepe many things too. Nepe has ridiculed me countless times here. I have ridiculed Nepe countless times too. Nepe and I have heatedly, passionately and even (according to some) viciously disagreed on a number of things here. But then Nepe and I have agreed on a number of things too. Happily, everything was out in the open -- with nothing to hide. And one thing about all this openness is that Nepe and I (to the extent I can discern) carry NO emotional baggage of any kind from all these discussions-- and can therefore shrug off the heated disagreements WITHOUT taking things personally, WITHOUT lettings unresolved issues fester and putrefy and then come out in very ugly, despicable ways WITHOUT holding the sort of dark and black grudges that eat away our own emotional fiber, and WITHOUT taking ourselves so seriously that our identities get wrapped up in what we say on Sajha. That much, I am confident about. I have NEVER put my Sajha activities on my resume, but I'd be the first person to admit that I have learnt a lot by placing various ideas on this crucible of public scrutiny, and, in doing so, have learnt a lot from all, especially from those who hold OPPOSITE and challenging views. In this, I can say that I have learnt a lot from Nepe. Ultimately though, the fact that we both are still going on and on in Sajha (despite holding pretty stressful day-time jobs with myriad responsibilities) is probably a testament to the fact that this is has been -- underneath it all -- in a spirit of serious fun. And so, Nepe, finally, if you are going to be in KTM in early March this year, you are hereby invited as a guest to my wedding reception. After all, hey, let the good times be shared, hai na ta? Of course, this does NOT mean that there will be no disagreements on various topics in the future . . . :-) oohi ashu
