Nepal ko lato brought very authentic information. I want to add one more thing: In bhejaji's present situation, it is very difficult to maintain status. You have 60 days from graduation to voluntarily depart US if OPT hasn't been applied. In order to maintain your status after graduation one of the following things must have been done: 1. Applied for OPT and application received by USCIS before the date of graduation. USCIS may take upto 90 days to process and approve OPT. You can't work until you get your OPT approved. That's why universities encourage students to apply for OPT a minimum of 3 months before graduation. 2. Enrolled to another program within 60 days of graduation. I am not sure but it might be possible to apply for reinstatement (with new admission). Extremely high chances of denial. 3. Applied for H1B. H1B must be approved before your 60 days of voluntary departure expires. [If it hasn't been already applied - no chance to apply for this year] H1B quota for B.S. degrees - all gone in September, 2005. H1B quota for US higher degree - all gone on January 17, 2006. New H1B quota will be available for jobs starting on October 1, 2006 or later. Application will be accepted after April 1, 2006. Lau hajoor.... yeti maddhe kunai kura garnu bha'chhaina bhane gunta kasam... nepal jam... pheri arko degree apply garera aaam...tyo USCIS ma phasne jhamela nagaram.
