My views on Nepali Crisis

Political postings here in Sajha are like quotes of George W. Bush!! "Either you are with me or you are my Enemy". Either you support the king or support the political parties. There is no middle point. You can't stay neutral. But it's just here in Sajha. There are many threads where people just lambast the King and his government. There are equally many threads where people are supporting the king's action. But if you talk to the people here in Nepal, who are living each and every moment of this crisis, they are actually so much sick and tired of this 17 years of Nepal Bandhs, eight years of uncontrollable Maoist movements and years of political unstability that now all they want is peace, regardless of whoever comes to the power. People don't even care if it's a dictatorship or full fledge democratic republic, just bring stability in the country and you are here to stay with all the fanfares. People who are actually supporting either King and his Government or Political parties, like those posters here in Sajha, come on, tell us, what is the vested interest behind your support? What is the favor you gonna get in return to all the propagandas? Yes, propagandas!! More than 15 years, they screwed us up, big time and yet, you support them in the name of democracy? What did you do when you were in the power? Do you think Nepali people are that dumb that they forget the past so easily? Those who support the King, how can you support someone who hasn't done anything right so far, anything that would put him at the spot where people can count on him. So, if you support either of them, there must be some strong advantages hidden beneath your support. Otherwise, you would be supporting the third power, the real power of the people and bring everyone from these political parties, Kings, Maoists to bite the dust. Poor people of Nepal!!! They haven't forgotten 1990 and aftermath of that yet, have they? For those, who might have forgotten, or were probably kids -- remember 1989? (Okay it was Marich-man government, but government don't make peopel but people make government) -- remember the feud with India? Remember the blockage? Remember how people stood out proudly against India during the blockage? Do your remember the sense of unity that time. Do you think we will be able to muster up the same sense of unity against India like we did back then? I guess not. If today, India takes over and establish law and order in Nepal, people will quickly accept that. Everybody wants to live in peace and there is nothing that could stop them when the pride gets broken and the ego becomes rusty. Everybody wants their Kids to grow up to the bright future. Everybody wants to work hard, make money, live with family and most importantly, in Peace. What is my point, My point is simple. Do not trust anyone, not here in sajha, not outside of sajha, cause those who support either Gov. or people have their own vested interest. Do not trust News medias (How can you trust Kantipur to be neutral when they just had feud with the Govrenment?). Do not believe that they actually practice what they preach. Just trust in the power of the people, who are far from the influence of these political parties, governments and strengthen the unity of the people so much that even the Gov. and political parties and their "chamchas" think nine times before screwing the country. amen!
