Nepali is heading towards the 'classic Guatemala and El Salvador' like situation. It is estimated that nearly 5000 children disappeared in Guatemala and about 2500 children disappeared in El Salvador when these countries were involved in internal conflict. After these children were taken away by the armed forces of these country no one has been able to know what happened to these children ever since they were taken away by the military. If fact the term "disappearance" began being widely used by internatonal human rights advocates after such incidents began widely re-occuring in Guatemala since 1960-1996.
