Help - computer problem

Even if the program tells you to pay, do not give them any payment information such as cc or address. If they already have then, call your bank and stop payment on them. The IP they have, they can't do anything to you. you have not used their product or at least intentionally not. The first place to look the program at is the startup folder. Also, when the program loads, check the name of the application. Then follow these steps: First try system restore to a date, when you believed the computer was fine. If that doesn't work then follow these: 1. Right Click on the bottom bar, where start is at, and click on task manager. click on processes and find the applicaiton in the list. Highlight the app and click end process. this may or may not let you end the program, if it did, fine, if not still okay. 2. Click on Start->all Program(or Program Files)->Startup folder and see if the app is listed. if there is right click on the program name and click delete. this may work or may not work.. still don't worry. 3. Click on start->run. Type regedit and press enter. On the screen click edit->find and search the registry for the app but typing the name. Then delete every single find by findling deleting and searhing again (F3). After all the delete in the registry (you may not be able to remove all the entries.. and that is okay. 4. Look for the program in your c:\program files or c:\windows or c:\winnt. Delete any folder that is associated with that name. You should be fine after restart. if not,, then, you might want some computer person to fix it. there could be several of many things that could be hapenning
