Felicity, kudos to you sweetheart:)) We need more like you to humanize some of the threads. Some do manage to sound most jaded and unfeeling. My mom is from Ghandrung/Ghandruk and I happen to speak a bit of the dialect too (am a Gurung u see),and while i have not been there for some time now, i shall always remember it as a hub for trekkers from all around the globe and much more. The people too in all my childlike innocence came across as very warm and hospitable, half of whom we were related too :P Duh@ As told by my aunt, there was too much mystery surrounding the tragic incident and tales retold with added masala. True, the Gurungs are the ruling caste group ; but it is believed that this is a multi faceted unsolved mystery. Who are the victims here? I happen to be a total fence sitter on this one; although my stance on the severity of the justice meted out to a fourteen year old being is one of horror. Some truths get to see the light of day..some just do not . Scarlett.
