Laptop with Dual Processor

well, there already are dual core processing laptops with amd opteron 64. the one u are talking about is intel. don't be fooled when you go buy and the sales man says that it 2.5ghz dual core is twice as fast as 2.5ghz single core. if it were a dual processors (i.e., two processing on a board), then it might have been true such as dual porcessing amd 3800+ that ships with 7600+ on as its spec. but if it were dual core, they cannot identify exactly what the speed would be, so they have to ship it as only 3800+ dual core.so, just be careful buying your laptop. if you are not a heavy graphics and video user, a good 3.0 celeron is 50-60% cheaper and suits your needs than expensive and slower 1.4ghz dual core. well, as far as i am concered, i am fine with 1.4 ghz pentium M on my laptop. i won't buy another until a 3.0 pentium M comes out, becuase unless the speed of the physical storage device is not improved, the processing speed is not going to make much of a difference after 1.6ghz, anyways. I think flash memories of say 20-30 GB in a laptop is a better buy with lower clocked chips than get higher clocked chips with plattered hard drive. but laptops with that large flash drives are just dreams as for now. Just be careful buying those dual core on laptops... buy if you really need em. don't for extra power to boot up quicker or load a web page faster... buy for faster editing in photoshop or premier or director etc. :-)
