Dear All, As most of you have noticed, we've had quite a few people thanking for the Person of the Year title. Sajha visitors who have been here over the years know that this is one of the yearly things in sajha during New Years since 2003. Towards the end of 2002, lot of sajha visitors started nominating others for the Sajha Person 2002 title. The first thing that came to my mind was that EVERY Sajha visitor deserves that award. To that end, I put few minutes of work, and lo and behold!- everyone who logged on became the Sajha Person of the Year. This year, only the people who registered after 2004 got to see that message. Although some of you have termed it a 'prank', in reality, everyone is deserving of this award, and I can't think of a better way of notifying this than to have their own username show up as the deserving person. Sajha is the largest virtual Nepali community and each one of you is responsible for making it what it is today. We have collectively been there during good times and bad. That is what separates sajha from other sites. Over here we portray ourselves for who we are and what we think. Obviously in a cyber community there is not much accountability for ones action, but over the years we've shown our collective bonds during times of crisis, and times of need. Like the time we were able to help out Raneesh's Kidney Transplant and for Shekhar's Fund. Sajha is not some site where we go to get some information when we need it. You all have made it into a cyber chautari where it is fun to hang out for hours and hours interacting with hundreds of others with whom we share this common bond of LOVE for Nepal. Many isolated Nepali students in the middle of nowhere will not have to feel isolated and lonely anymore because they have the option of being together with thousands of Nepalis in this cyber chautari anytime they want. Each one of you are the sajha person of the moment every time you log into sajha, since sajha is there because of you. Once again, thanks to all of you for making it all possible. As we move onto 2006, I wish each and everyone one of you and your loved ones fun filled days and positive optimistic vibes. Let the positive energy guide us Nepalis and hopefully our Nepal as well, to see better days ahead. San
